Ravens and Eagles Trade Pitch Swaps $50 Million Star Tight Ends in Blockbuster Move

The Baltimore Ravens might be in the market for another quality pass catcher. The team signed DeAndre Hopkins in free agency to pair with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman while also boasting one of the best tight end tandems in football with Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. However, quarterback Lamar Jackson could always use another playmaker as the Ravens make one final push for a Super Bowl in 2025.

Baltimore could address the need for another pass catcher in the NFL Draft, but Anthony Palacios of Last Word on Sports proposed a blockbuster trade between the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles involving a tight end swap.

In this hypothetical trade, the Ravens would acquire Dallas Goedert while Andrews would head to the Eagles.

“Like the Eagles, the Baltimore Ravens are also looking to trade away their veteran tight end. After losing his job to Isaiah Likely, Mark Andrews could suit up for another team next season. If the Eagles and Ravens truly want to shake things up, they could hammer out a deal to send Goedert and Andrews to new cities.”

Both Goedert and Andrews have been the subject of trade rumors over the past few weeks. Goedert is entering the final year of his contract, and FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports that the Eagles could consider trading the tight end as the draft approaches.

“Dallas Goedert remains a name to watch on the trade market as the NFL Draft draws closer. Interested teams believe that Philadelphia will be willing to take a future pick if they can’t get a 2025 pick. Goedert is entering the final year of his contract and could be in line for a new deal,” Schultz wrote on X.

Andrews could be available as well, as Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta did not rule out trading the three-time Pro Bowler in a recent press conference. Like Goedert, Andrews is also heading into the final year of his deal.

“I never know what’s going to happen,” DeCosta said earlier this week. “And I never want to say this or that. But I can say this: Mark Andrews is a warrior. He’s played his ass off for us.”

A star tight end swap might not make sense for either side. The Eagles probably want to get younger at the position and avoid paying top dollar to an aging veteran, which would make Andrews someone Philadelphia should stay away from.

Adding Goedert to Todd Monken’s offense would be a fun move for the Ravens, but John Harbaugh already has a promising young tight end in Likely who appears ready for a breakout in Year 4.

This trade probably won’t happen and doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for either side. We’ll see if Goedert and Andrews are traded or if they stick with their current teams in 2025.
