The Kansas City Chiefs selected Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the 2024 NFL Draft, and fans instantly compared the electric playmaker to Tyreek Hill. With blazing speed and an ability to score from anywhere on the field, it’s easy to see why some are calling Worthy the next Cheetah.
Now, one trade pitch has the Chiefs and Dolphins doing the unthinkable: sending Hill back to Kansas City in exchange for Worthy.
Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon recently proposed one trade each NFL team should consider, and his suggestion for the Dolphins involves moving on from Hill and acquiring the rookie receiver from the Chiefs.
“Kansas City just drafted Xavier Worthy, who’s frequently compared to Tyreek Hill. If Miami cannot afford Hill beyond 2024, they could recoup serious value while landing a potential star on a rookie deal,” Kenyon wrote.
Hill is still one of the best wide receivers in the league and has been a cornerstone of the Dolphins offense ever since arriving in South Beach. However, he turns 30 in March and carries a massive cap hit moving forward. If Miami believes the financial investment is too steep, they could try to get younger while still fielding a dangerous offense.

Worthy, meanwhile, has the talent to be a game-breaking weapon in the NFL. His 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine set a new record, and he could thrive in Mike McDaniel’s system alongside Jaylen Waddle.
This trade pitch is nothing more than speculation at this point, but it’s a fun “what-if” scenario that would send shockwaves through the league.
