PITTSBURGH, PA — Forget the Aaron Rodgers smoke. The Steelers may have their sights set on something far spicier — and riskier — in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Sources close to the team say Pittsburgh has done its homework on several young quarterbacks. But one name keeps coming up again and again:
🔊 JALEN MILROE.
Yes — the electric, unpredictable, cannon-armed QB from Alabama.
According to NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, Milroe might be the biggest “lottery ticket” in the entire 2025 NFL Draft. And guess who’s holding a scratcher?
💥 “He’s the Draft’s Biggest Wildcard”
In a recent media call, Jeremiah didn’t mince words:
“Milroe has the strongest arm in the draft. If he hits, he could blow up in a way no one expects — even more than Cam Ward.”
Milroe may not be polished. He’s raw. He’s risky. But he’s also explosive. Think Lamar Jackson’s speed mixed with Josh Allen’s arm, but with the decision-making still under construction.
And guess what? That’s exactly the kind of swing the Steelers might be willing to take.
🔄 Round 2 Steal — or Draft Day Shock?
Jeremiah projects Milroe as a Day 2 pick, possibly mid-to-late Round 2. But with QB-needy teams lurking, don’t be shocked if someone jumps early — including Pittsburgh.
“You take your safe pick in Round 1. But in Round 2, that’s when you go for upside. Milroe is that upside.”
The Steelers haven’t had a dynamic dual-threat QB in… well, maybe ever. Milroe could be the start of a whole new era.
🧠 Steelers Fanbase Is Split
As usual, Steelers Nation is torn:
“Milroe’s got star power, man. I’d take him over any safe pocket passer. Let’s roll the dice.” — @YinzerQB
“No thanks. We need someone NFL-ready, not another ‘project.’” — @SteelCurse
“If we pass on Milroe and he explodes somewhere else… I’m gonna lose it.” — @BurghBlitz
There’s risk, yes — but also big-play potential the team hasn’t seen in decades.
🕰️ The Clock Is Ticking…
The NFL Draft is just days away. And with no clear answer under center, the Steelers are on the verge of making a decision that could define the next decade.
Is Milroe the gamble worth taking? Is he the lightning-in-a-bottle QB Pittsburgh needs?
We’ll find out soon.
