The New England Patriots are short a quarterback.

They traded Joe Milton to the Cowboys earlier in the offseason, but they likely need a new backup, or at least another body behind Drake Maye and alongside Josh Dobbs and undrafted free agent Ben Woolridge.
Levis is with the Tennessee Titans but won’t be getting any more starting opportunities after the selection of Cam Ward at No. 1 overall.

He obviously wouldn’t start in New England either, but it’d be a fresh start.
“A fresh start would be helpful for both sides,” PFN’s Sterling Xie wrote. “Mike Vrabel was the Titans coach when the franchise drafted Levis.”
Levis was a second-round pick in 2023, but he was too mistake-prone to stick as the Titans’ starting quarterback.
In his career, Levis has 21 passing TDs and 16 interceptions.
If the Pats can get him for a late-round pick, he could be worth the cost. He’d slot in as a potential long-term backup who hasn’t yet reached the journeyman stage of his career.
Maye is a bit of a rebel when he runs, so having someone who can step in for him in a pinch isn’t a bad idea.
