Shrine Bowl Soldiers: 6 Rookies Who Could Shape the Packers’ Next Era

GREEN BAY, WI – They didn’t make headlines on Draft Night. No flashbulbs, no red carpet. But make no mistake—these six rookies from the East-West Shrine Bowl are walking into Lambeau with grit, hunger, and everything to prove.

With the Packers continuing their tradition of turning late-round picks and undrafted gems into stars, these under-the-radar rookies could be the next wave of quiet heroes in Green Bay.

🔥 WARREN BRINSON – DL, GEORGIA (6TH ROUND)

He didn’t start every game at Georgia. But when he was on the field? He made noise—penetrating the line, spinning through blockers, and crashing into plays.

“Brinson reminds me of guys like Devonte Wyatt and Jalen Carter,” said Eric Galko, Shrine Bowl director. “He has raw power and violent hands.”

Green Bay doesn’t need Brinson to be a superstar on Day 1. They need a disruptor. And Brinson’s built for trench warfare.

🧱 JOHN WILLIAMS – OL, CINCINNATI (7TH ROUND)

A true Swiss Army knife on the offensive line, Williams held it down at both tackle and guard at the Shrine Bowl—and didn’t blink once.

“He’s got Zach Tom vibes,” Galko noted. “Smart, versatile, dependable.”

In a league where injuries can gut your O-line, depth and flexibility are priceless. Williams brings both—and he’s only just getting started.

💎 THE HIDDEN GEMS – UNDRAFTED, BUT NOT UNWORTHY

🐘 Nazir Stackhouse (DL, Georgia)

Big body. Bigger presence. Stackhouse is a run-stuffer through and through, and could quietly become a foundational piece up front.

🚀 Jamon Johnson (LB, Kentucky)

Reads plays like a veteran, reacts like a missile. Johnson could thrive in a defense that’s screaming for speed and instincts in the middle.

🧲 Tyron Herring (CB, Delaware)

Small school. Big talent. Herring’s tight coverage and natural ball skills make him a dark horse for special teams and nickel packages.

🔨 Tyler Cooper (G, Minnesota)

Fundamentally sound, physically ready. Cooper isn’t flashy—but he’s the kind of grinder who thrives in Green Bay’s system.

🧠 Green Bay’s Secret Weapon: Development

The Packers have made an art out of turning Day 3 and UDFA guys into game-changers. Think Aaron Jones. Think Rasul Douglas. These Shrine Bowl rookies might be next.

🏈 They won’t start at the top.
🏈 They might not make the Week 1 roster.
But in Titletown, potential doesn’t go unnoticed.

💬 What Fans Are Saying:

“Brinson has that Wyatt energy—love the pick.”
“Tyron Herring? Straight-up sleeper. Book it.”
“Stackhouse is gonna eat double teams for breakfast if coached right.”

🧀 Shrine Bowl roots. Lambeau dreams. These rookies could be tomorrow’s legends.
