Former Chiefs Superstar Eyes Deal With Bills to Get Back at Kansas City

The rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs has defined the AFC in recent years, fueled by intense playoff battles and bitter losses. For a player to switch sides between these two powerhouses isn’t just a career move—it’s a calculated act of revenge, a chance to strike at a formidable foe.

Tyreek Hill, a former Chiefs superstar, is at the center of this potential drama, expressing his desire to join the Bills after being cut by the Chiefs in the 2025 offseason. During his six seasons with Kansas City, Hill amassed 7,197 receiving yards and 56 touchdowns, but was released following a contract dispute and a reported fallout with the coaching staff.

Now a free agent after a brief stint with the Dolphins, Hill sees the Bills as the perfect stage to face his former team in the AFC. “I want to crush the Chiefs in a Bills jersey if they give me the chance to do it,” he told reporters, signaling his intent to make Kansas City regret their decision.

The Bills, coming off a 2024 AFC Championship loss to the Chiefs, are an enticing destination for Hill. With stars like Josh Allen, James Cook, and Khalil Shakir, the team’s high-powered offense could benefit from a dynamic playmaker, especially after cutting Curtis Samuel and missing a true WR1.

ClutchPoints’ Enzo Flojo noted, “Hill’s speed and route-running can still dominate defenses.” His addition could elevate an already potent passing attack led by Allen’s 4,306-yard MVP season and Cook’s 1,086-yard rushing, giving Buffalo a lethal edge against the Chiefs.

Spotrac projects Hill to sign a two-year, $40 million deal, though he may accept less this late in the offseason. At 31, with 6 Pro Bowl selections, he remains a game-changer for a contending team like the Bills, who hold $28.2 million in cap space.

Fans on X are buzzing, with one Bills supporter writing, “Hill vs. Chiefs in Buffalo? That’s a revenge dream!” A Chiefs fan countered, “He’ll regret leaving—Isiah Pacheco is our future now,” highlighting the rivalry’s intensity.

Set to face the Chiefs at Highmark Stadium in 2025, the Bills could gain a significant edge with Hill’s signing, adding fuel to their AFC rivalry as they chase Super Bowl LX in the Josh Allen era.
