Meek Mill, a native of Philadelphia and Eagles supporter since childhood, shared his excitement in an ESPN interview. “The Eagles are the heartbeat of this city—they represent our fight. This song is my love letter to Philly, from Lincoln Financial Field to the world,” he said. The anthem will drop on September 1, just before the season begins.
Meek Mill will perform “Midnight Green Dreams” live at the Eagles’ season opener against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field on September 4 at 8:20 p.m. ET. As the first home opener since their Super Bowl LIX win, Meek’s pre-game performance is set to electrify the passionate Philly crowd.
During a press conference in Philadelphia on Friday, Meek teased a few lines from the anthem:
