This isn’t just another Week 1 matchup — it’s an NFC East battle under the bright lights, and the storylines are overflowing.
A New Era for the Cowboys
The Cowboys enter this season opener without defensive superstar Micah Parsons, who was traded to the Green Bay Packers just six days before kickoff. In his place, Dallas added three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who will be tasked with helping contain Philadelphia’s ground attack led by Saquon Barkley.
All eyes will be on how Dallas’ defense responds without Parsons, particularly against dual-threat quarterback Jalen Hurts and one of the league’s most dynamic offenses.
Offensive Weapons Ready to Shine
On the offensive side, Dallas has retooled. The blockbuster trade for wide receiver George Pickens gives quarterback Dak Prescott another explosive weapon to pair with All-Pro playmaker CeeDee Lamb.
Meanwhile, rookie first-round pick Tyler Booker steps into the offensive line following the retirement of legend Zack Martin. His first test? Facing the likes of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis in the trenches.
This rebuilt offensive unit will need to prove it can protect Prescott and create opportunities against one of the NFL’s fiercest defensive fronts.
