Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce has been fined for unsportsmanlike conduct after making an “obscene gesture” at a game.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Sept. 14, when Kelce’s Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

Kelce, 35, made the gesture after making a 23-yard reception. He could be seen excitedly running down the Philly sideline while gesturing to his groin.

Video of the moment quickly made its way across social media.

The league fined Kelce $14,491, per NBC Sports. He is able to appeal the fine through an official process should he choose to do so.

Meanwhile, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was fined $46,371 during the same game for “impermissable use of the helmet/launching” when he appeared to intentionally lower his helmet before bracing for impact with Chiefs safety Chamarri Conner.

The Chiefs lost the game — which was their second of the season — in a 20-17 defeat. They lost their previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kelce addressed the loss against the Chargers on the Sept. 10 episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.
