The Dallas Cowboys remain optimistic that star linebacker Micah Parsons will take the field in their Week 1 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, even though contract talks with the
team have yet to rea
ch an agreement.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed confidence on Wednesday, noting that Parsons continues to attend team meetings and walkthroughs despite skipping most on-field practices. “Micah is preparing in his own way, and we believe he’ll be ready when the season kicks off,” Schottenheimer said.
Parsons, widely regarded as one of the NFL’s top defensive players, remains central to Dallas’ ambitions this season. His presence would be a huge boost for the Cowboys’ defense in a highly anticipated showdown with the Eagles.

While uncertainty around Parsons’ long-term contract lingers, the Cowboys are counting on their defensive cornerstone to deliver when the 2025 season officially begins.
