A reunion with an old coach isn’t always a fairytale — and Noah Igbinoghene is learning that the hard way.
After following Dan Quinn from Dallas to the Washington Commanders, the former first-round pick is now fighting for his NFL future. With OTAs underway, reports out of Washington suggest Quinn is running out of patience with his underperforming cornerback.
🚨 From Miami Bust to Dallas Afterthought
Drafted 30th overall by the Dolphins in 2020, Igbinoghene never lived up to expectations. After Miami loaded up at corner with Jalen Ramsey and Cam Smith, they shipped him to Dallas during the final roster cuts in 2023.
His one big moment? A blocked field goal returned for a touchdown in the season opener against the Giants. After that: crickets. Just 25 defensive snaps, two receptions allowed, and a disappearing act.

🟣 New Team, Same Struggles
In Washington, Igbinoghene got what he wanted: playing time. A whopping 971 defensive snaps in 2024. But the numbers were rough:
-
54 receptions allowed
-
556 yards and 3 TDs surrendered
-
Just 6 pass breakups on 86 targets
The Commanders responded by signing Jonathan Jones — a proven slot corner who led all qualifiers in 2024 with just 2.25 yards per coverage snap allowed. Translation? The heat is on.
🧊 Time’s Running Out
If Igbinoghene doesn’t show up strong this summer, Quinn could cut ties — fast. Loyalty means little in a league built on performance.
“Final chance. Step up or step out.”

Once a first-round pick, now on the verge of being first out the door in Washington. Dan Quinn gave Noah Igbinoghene one more shot. It’s up to him to prove he still belongs.
