Green Bay, WI – May 12, 2025
Jordan Love isn’t holding back when it comes to his belief in Green Bay’s rising offensive arsenal. Speaking with Packers Central this week, the 26-year-old quarterback dropped a bold take: with three years of chemistry, rookie tight end Luke Musgrave could become “the next Travis Kelce” — just like Love helped elevate Christian Watson into a breakout star in 2024.

“Luke’s got it all — the size, the speed, the football IQ,” Love said. “It’s exactly what I saw in Christian when we first started clicking. I’m seeing it again.”
Love silenced doubters last season by throwing for over 4,100 yards and 32 touchdowns, transforming a post-Rodgers Packers offense into one of the league’s most exciting young squads. While the team lacks a superstar wideout, it boasts a dangerous and developing core: Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Tucker Kraft — and now Musgrave.
“People say the Packers don’t have a star. I say give us three years,” Love added with a grin. “Just like Josh Allen needed time to build with Diggs, I believe I’m doing that here — piece by piece.”
Love hasn’t just been talking. He reportedly led offseason throwing sessions in California with his receivers and tight ends, organizing route-timing drills and playbook walkthroughs before OTAs even began. Head coach Matt LaFleur called it “a defining moment in Jordan’s growth” and compared his leadership to a young Aaron Rodgers.
With the NFC North wide open and the Packers reloading faster than expected, Green Bay may have stumbled upon something special — a young QB finding his voice, and a cast of weapons eager to rise with him.
“We’re not trying to be a sequel to the past,” Love said. “We’re building something new — something dangerous.”
