T.J. Watt is one of the best defensive players of his generation, but could his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers be coming to an end?
According to a recent report from Bleacher Report, the three-time All-Pro may have a dream of returning home to Wisconsin and suiting up for the Green Bay Packers before his career is over.
“T.J. Watt is under contract through 2025, but the three-time All-Pro may eventually want to return home to Wisconsin. The Packers should monitor this situation and be ready to pounce if he becomes available,” Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon wrote.
Watt grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers, where he first rose to national prominence. Since being drafted by Pittsburgh in 2017, he has developed into one of the most dominant edge rushers in the league, winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2021.

While there’s no official indication that the Steelers are looking to trade or release Watt, the idea of him finishing his career back in his home state is gaining traction among fans — and some analysts believe Green Bay could be a perfect fit.
The Packers have needs on the defensive side of the ball, particularly in pass rush, and Watt would immediately elevate that unit. Plus, his leadership, pedigree, and Wisconsin ties make him a dream addition.
