Green Bay, WI – The Packers’ training camp faced an early setback as two undrafted rookies, safety Kahzir Brown and offensive guard Tyler Cooper, were both sidelined by significant injuries, casting doubt over their immediate NFL futures.
Quarterback Jordan Love, no stranger to adversity himself, was quick to step in as a voice of support. He gathered the rookie class after practice, urging them to keep their heads up and keep working, no matter the challenge.
Love reminded the team of his own journey from a late first-round pick riding the bench to the leader of one of the NFL’s most storied franchises. His message was clear: resilience is a requirement in Green Bay.

“I’ve been around this league long enough, but I’ve never seen fans like this. Eagles fans don’t just show up — they take over. They bring the energy, the respect, and the loyalty. When they fill up the camp like that, you know this team means everything to them — and now, it means everything to me too.”
Kahzir Brown, a 6’3”, 223-pound safety out of Florida Atlantic, was making waves early in camp with his physical play and speed (4.52-second 40-yard dash). At FAU, Brown started 35 games, notching 142 tackles, 5 interceptions, and earning Second-Team All-Conference USA honors in 2024. Coaches were evaluating him for both safety and nickel roles, impressed by his versatility and instincts.
On the offensive line, Tyler Cooper, a 6’5”, 302-pound guard from Minnesota, had stood out for his rugged build and collegiate experience. Cooper played 40 games and logged over 1,000 snaps at left guard for the Gophers, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2024. The Packers hoped he could push for a backup role on a deep offensive line unit.
While both Brown and Cooper now face an uphill climb to get healthy and make their NFL dreams a reality, Love’s encouragement resonated in the locker room. For every Packer, overcoming adversity isn’t just a hope — it’s an expectation.
As the grind of camp continues, the stories of Brown and Cooper serve as a reminder: in Green Bay, heart and perseverance are always noticed. For now, the door remains open, and a comeback is always within reach for those who refuse to give up.
