LOS ANGELES — Loni Anderson, beloved “WKRP in Cincinnati” actress and lifelong Green Bay Packers superfan, has died at age 79, leaving Packers Nation mourning not only her loss but the emotional circumstances that surrounded her final days.
Anderson’s health had grown increasingly fragile in recent months, yet her devotion to the Packers never faded. In late July, she insisted on attending Packers training camp, despite her doctors’ warnings and her family’s concern. Her love for the green and gold was so powerful that she braved the Wisconsin summer, determined to support her team in person one last time.
Tragically, Anderson’s condition worsened after her visit to training camp. Surrounded by family, she passed away in Los Angeles on August 3, 2025. “We are devastated to share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother,” her family said, describing her final days as a moving testament to her enduring spirit and passion for the Packers.
