The episode “Building the Patriots” provides a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s offseason until now.

It begins with Vrabel giving a speech to the Patriots players that lays out his vision for the team.

“The overriding goal for the program that we’re going to build is going to be one to win the division,” Vrabel told the team. “When was the last time the New England Patriots won the division? Does anybody know? 2019.

“So, we’re building our own identity, okay? And it’s all going to be based on how do we make you guys as good as you possibly can be as an individual, as a player and then as a teammate.”

Vrabel told the players that he did not care what happened last year in New England.

“Why would I care about what happened last year? I’m worried about what’s going to go right today and tomorrow and the next day,” he said. “We’re not worried about what went wrong. We’re focused on what’s going to go right, and I want you to understand that.

“… We are going to be along on this journey with you guys. You understand that? And I don’t care whatever’s happened or how you’ve been coached. This is how I want to do it. Be along for the journey. … That’s our whole goal of how we’re going to operate this program. We’re going to be along on the journey. There are going to be some ups and downs, but that’s the whole goal of what we’re trying to do — going along on this journey with you guys to get more out of you than what you guys think.”

The epic first episode covers Vrabel’s arrival in New England, the team’s free agency period, and the NFL Draft.
