The Patriots and Vikings will hold joint practices in August in Minnesota prior to the second preseason game of the summer for both teams.
The teams are scheduled to meet on Saturday, Aug. 16, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The practices are set to be held at TCO Performance Center in Eagan, Minn. If the schedule is similar to past years, the teams could hold practices on Wednesday and Thursday, with an offday Friday before the game.

“We’d love to go to Minnesota,” Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said in March at the league meetings. “We practiced with them a few years ago in Tennessee. It’s a nice setup. They have a beautiful facility, there’s a hotel close by to walk to the field, and we enjoyed working with [coach] Kevin [O’Connell] and [defensive coordinator Brian Flores] and their team.”
For the Patriots, it’ll be the second of three preseason games. They also will face the Commanders (Aug. 8 in Foxborough) and the Giants (Aug. 21 in East Rutherford, N.J.). The possibility remains the Patriots could also have joint practices with the Commanders in the days prior to the preseason opener.
The Patriots have engaged in joint practices for several years, including with the Eagles in Foxborough last season. Lately, New England has had similar summer setups with Green Bay (2023), Carolina (2022), Philadelphia (2021), and Detroit and Tennessee (2019).
